Grading on the 'International English Language Testing System' (IELTS) is important in terms of British University entrance requirements. It is also recognised throughout the world and for gaining employment in multinational companies. The school has specific classes to prepare students for academic IELTS examinations. Students receive 15 hours tuition a week, focussing on general English and IELTS preparation.
Examination classes are available to any student deemed to be ready to prepare for a Cambridge examination or IELTS. Testing will take place prior to entering an examination class and the class will mainly focus on those skills necessary to pass internationally recognised examinations, such as Cambridge First Certificate, Advanced, Proficiency or IELTS. Teachers are available to advise on the examinations available to students and offer help in this area.
