Discipleship Course
The emphasis in these studies is not simply learning the facts but in the formation of character and being disciples of Jesus Christ. The Discipleship Course is normally of two years duration or more advanced students can complete the course in one year. The main areas of teaching are:

Church planting in a post modern context
The course is designed to help students experience more of the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives and to enable them to grow to greater maturity in Christ. Experienced visiting teachers are involved in this teaching. Students are expected to study for 15 hours a week in the school during term time. They are also encouraged to be part a small discipleship groups and to relate to either Southall Baptist Church or one of its associated churches.
London is a city where it is possible to meet people from many ethnic backgrounds. Students will be given individual support and guidance in terms of what we hope will be a rich experience of other cultures.
The externally examined component of this course prepares for level 3 of the National Qualification Framework in Religious Knowledge ( GCE A'Level Edexcel Curriculum). The syllabus includes the Gospels, followed by a more detailed study of the Gospel of Luke and the study of Christianity.
Students who plan to continue their studies and register for a degree course should note that they will need to have an IELTS score of at least 6.0. English classes are available for these students.

Students are given individual support and guidance to enable the practical development of gifts of leadership.
There is a strong academic component to this course. This involves academic support for students registering for a distance learning B.A. in Theology, as well as seeking to help students in their approach to study in the UK. Teaching is given related to the syllabus of a B.A. in Theology.
