Message from the Director 

I am delighted to welcome you to Southall School of Languages and Missionary Orientation, a Christian language school, accredited by both the British Council for the Teaching of English and British Accreditation Council, minutes from the vibrant city of London.


       

       

Southall, a unique place close to the heart of the capital, London.

Southall School of Languages and Missionary Orientation is a very special place and unique in many ways. As you look through the website I believe you will appreciate the outstanding qualities and unique experience that only a place like Southall can offer.

London

Firstly, the school is very close to the heart of London and all that this vibrant city has to offer.  With the Olympic Games this year and the many festivals and events that take place throughout the year, London is a city that offers everyone something.  Just 15 minutes by train from London and just 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport, communications and travel from the school are easy to London and the rest of the country as a whole.

Care and Community

Many students have attended the school for a whole variety of reasons not least because of the care that the school offers and the real sense of community. Southall is a family and all the staff and those related to the school have a commitment to the students and their families. Our turnover of teachers is exceptionally low and so this offers stability for the student that many schools are unable to offer.

We believe that learning does not just take place in the classroom. We offer an experience of understanding and diversity within the multicultural setting of the school and the community as a whole. You will develop an understanding of many cultures both within the school setting, the church and in Southall. With the benefit of many nationalities and cultures so close at hand learning about the world and all those other cultures have to offer is an exciting and educational experience.

 

The main emphasis at Southall School of Languages and Missionary Orientation is to provide each student with a unique opportunity to grow and achieve their full potential.  As a non profit making charity our fees are kept deliberately low.  It is our aim to enable all students to fulfil their potential, whatever their background.  We appreciate that many students wish to come to the UK to study but are unable to so because of the prohibitive cost of tuition fees.  We are a non profit making charity and our emphasis is in growth for the student rather than profit.

It would seem that most students have three main questions before deciding to come to Southall.

Why are the fees low compared to some other language schools in London?

The main emphasis at Southall is provide each student with a unique opportunity to grow and achieve their full potential.  As a non profit making charity our fees are kept deliberately low to enable us to achieve this aim.  As a charity our emphasis is on personal growth for the student rather than profit.

Does this mean the teachers are not qualified or experienced?

No.  All our teachers are fully qualified and experienced. In fact, the turnover of teachers and staff is very low and therefore we are able to offer a level of care and consistency unusual in many schools.  All the staff are very committed to the students and school and this is reflected in the level of care and expertise offered. 

Why should I come to Southall School of Languages and Missionary Orientation?

All the staff at the school see the work they do as vital to vision of the school as a whole.  Student care is the priority and the welfare of every individual is seen as key to the personal success of each student.

What's so special about Southall?

Southall is a vibrant, multi cultural town set just 15 minutes from Central London.  This offers every student the advantage of getting to know London, living in a multi cultural community whilst being able to access the UK easily during their stay.

 

Inspected and accredited by the British Council for the Teaching of English and British Accreditation Council we are proud that our level of care for the individual student  goes beyond the requirements set out by those inspecting bodies. We are thrilled to be able to maintain a professional and fully qualified teaching staff with the main emphasis on quality and care for every student.

 

Over the last 23 years it has been a privilege and honour to serve both local students and students from all over the world. Students from all backgrounds have had the unique opportunity to study at Southall School of Languages and Missionary Orientation using this learning experience to fulfil their full potential.
